For the past couple of days I have thought a lot about the topic that I would like to research and learn more about for this class. I read, looked, and thought about it a lot and then I went to see the movie “Freedom Writers” and it really got me thinking. I really want to look into programs just like the Freedom Writer program that help under-privilaged students that do not have any hope of being better readers and succeeding in school. I really like the way that this teacher used unique techniques to teach to these types of students. The way that this teacher to controll and inicative and got results is great. I really hope that I can find that there are other programs like this out there and that good things like this are happening all over. I know that there are lots of students in need out there and I know that there are people out there that can and want to help them! People like me . . .

I really hope that I set this blog thing up the correct way. I am not very internet savy and I really do not know what I am doing at all!!!!
